So Senior Show is creeping closer (only 8 weeks until we must have everything turned in!) and I'm just not as nervous or panicky as I thought I'd be. I think in a week or so when we have to start turning in finished pieces and I have to study for exams in Contemporary Art, I'll start singing (more likely wailing) a different tune.
Today I'm about to make a few digital versions of my logo, so I thought I'd share with you some sketches that I'll be working from. I'm also sharing with you a watercolor that I did for my Beginning Illustration class. I've never really worked with watercolors before, but so far I really like them even though, as you can see, I still need some practice.
I'm also making a Lookbook for my Senior Show and I'm going to try and have it rely heavily on photography, so this past weekend Craig and I scouted locations for one of the shoots (the other one is taking place out in Christiana with baby animals!). I think Leiper's Fork will work really nicely as a back drop and help give the pictures the kind of small town feel I want them to have. While we were there we went to the new Copper Fox gallery and it is absolutely gorgeous!
This weekend I also got to do a little blog designing for my friend Rachel. Rachel is starting the blog Awesome Sauce Quilts to go along with her Etsy shop of the same name. Her favorite color is purple, so I made a pattern reminiscent of a traditional quilt in various purple shades. I also did a custom header and custom side navigation buttons. I think it turned out pretty cute and I can't wait to see what all Rachel shares with us on her blog!
